The first name in putting people first

Teresa Lamy is Chief HR Officer and is based in our Jersey office.

A highly skilled senior executive, Teresa has over 15 years’ experience of helping to create working environments that maximise people’s potential to the benefit of all.  A strategic thinker rather than a micro manager, she has a proven track record of driving global business change in a fast paced environment. Teresa has combined resilience, creativity and commerciality to remarkable effect in a number of executive roles within the financial services, postal services, trust and corporate services industries.

Some of our best lessons are from our mistakes.

In the last decade Teresa has operated on a truly global scale, implementing successive significant projects across multiple jurisdictions such as a substantial restructuring programme and high potential programmes for succession planning.  A Chartered Fellow of both the Institute of Personnel Development and the Chartered Institute of Management, Teresa also holds a Diploma in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors.

What excites her most is seeing results, spotting talent and helping people evolve.  In fact, the opportunity to take an active part in developing other people’s potential is what first attracted her to a career in HR, and she has never regretted it.  A people person, Teresa finds that she has her best ideas when working with others and really enjoys getting involved with diverse teams across every level of an organisation.  She particularly enjoys working with Joanne McEnteggart who she finds full of energy and passion for what she does.

Never say never is a philosophy that Teresa lives by, not just at work but in life.  It’s an attitude that has seen her travel extensively and work in many countries and across many cultures. Home and family are just as important. Teresa believes that achieving a good work-life balance is all about choice: what works for one person doesn’t work for another.  With a husband whose culinary skills are a cause for envy among friends and family, two daughters willing to play hostess for visits to London and Australia and a home that has been an enjoyable project for many years, Teresa has found her perfect balance.
