Eric

The first name in MAKING FINANCE SIMPLE

Eric Fady is the Chief Financial Officer for First Names Group.

Eric has overall responsibility for delivering on the Group’s financial support needs. With over 20 years’ international and corporate finance experience working for public and private equity backed companies, mainly in phases of growth, change, acquisitions and refinancing, Eric expertly leads the Group Finance team, supporting and nurturing the team’s significant internal financial know-how. He is dedicated to assisting the business through its next phase of growth to ensure maximum success and stakeholder satisfaction.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice, but in practice...

After graduating from NEOMA Business School in France, Eric began his career as an accountant with KPMG in Lyon. His career progressed quickly and in 1997 he moved to the UK to take on the role of European CFO and Vice President for strategy implementation of a US listed company. Now a dual citizen of Britain and France, Eric held the position of Group CFO of a private equity backed company headquartered in London before joining First Names Group at the start of 2016.

A committed ‘early bird’, Eric prefers to get into the office early and clear as many things as possible before the business day starts. As an accountant, he is cautious when it comes to taking risks, always assessing each risk with a magnifying glass to make sure it is worth it. Eric prides himself on being a team player and hands-on leader, and adheres to the ‘work hard, play hard’ mantra – because life is too short!

FIRST VISIT TO BERLIN: JUST AFTER THE FALL OF THE WALL, WHEN GERMAN RE-UNIFICATION WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO THINK OF

Born in Lyon, France, it should be no surprise that Eric is a lover of great food and wine. He has a real soft spot for French food as it brings back childhood memories, but he also loves to try as many international dishes as possible. He is passionate about travelling and seeing new places, but he does always look forward to returning home to London at the end of it all, where he lives with his wife. Quite the cultured individual, Eric also enjoys opera, collects paintings, and even has a couple of vintage cars.
