Anna Kawalek is a Senior Manager for First Names Group in the Isle of Man.
Managing a portfolio of clients from all four corners of the globe really keeps Anna on her toes. Her clients tend to be high net worth individuals - with high expectations - and Anna loves to keep them happy. She understands the need to be flexible and is a real ambassador for the company's focus on maintaining a clear identity in the market.
Be prepared, work hard and hope for a little luck.
Anna has over 20 years’ experience in the fiduciary sector. Before joining the Group in 2001, she worked for the Trust and Taxation Division of a major UK bank and for the trustee company of a well-known Bermudan bank. She has significant experience in managing a range of asset types, including real estate, financial investments and private companies. Budgetary control is just one of her key areas of expertise.
Anna graduated from the University of Birmingham with an honours degree in history before qualifying as a solicitor (England and Wales). She is a member of the UK Law Society and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
IN THREE WORDS:
Anna remembers what it was like to be the new kid on the block and goes out of her way to support junior staff. She also really enjoys the diversity in age and talents across her teams and believes inclusiveness is important if you want to get the best out of people. Seeing her clients grow and be successful is one of the most rewarding parts of her job.
Anna's favourite place on earth is the South of France for the weather and the food - unless she has to cook it. A firm believer that too many cooks spoil the broth, she keeps out of the kitchen if at all possible. Having said that, Anna is definitely more skydiver than Sunday driver and she isn't ready to relax just yet (much to the relief of her clients).
